I am writing to request a reconsideration of the settlement for my Lenscart Air eyeglasses insurance claim (#1277799803).
On September 5, 2024, the frame of my eyeglasses broke, and since it was insured, I promptly visited the Lenscart showroom at Bagalur Main Road, Vinayak Nagar, Kattigenahalli, Bangalore, Karnataka – 560064, to report the issue. The showroom team confirmed the claim and informed me that processing the replacement would take over four days. Unfortunately, I had a flight to New York (USA) that evening at 10:00 PM and could not wait for the replacement.
After explaining my situation, the office bearer assured me that the claim had been approved and that I could collect the replacement frame upon my return from the USA. However, when I revisited the showroom on November 15, 2024, after returning from the USA, I was informed that the claim period had expired, and my request was declined. Despite being asked to wait two more days for a resolution, I have received no further communication.
I seek clarification regarding this matter:
• Why was I assured that I could collect the replacement after my return if this contradicted policy guidelines?
• If my claim was approved in September, why wasn’t I informed of any deadlines or alternative arrangements?
To further address the issue, I visited the Lenscart store in Wardha, Maharashtra—my hometown—where I had initially purchased the eyeglasses. The Wardha showroom created ticket number 97063728 on November 26, 2024, and informed me that I could collect my new eyeglasses with the replacement frame after seven days.
However, when I contacted the Wardha showroom on December 3, 2024, they were unable to provide any update.
Additionally, I wrote several emails to support@lenscart.com, the customer service email address listed on your website, but all emails were returned with an error message stating, “The recipient server did not accept our requests to connect.”
Moreover, your customer care number is AI-driven, offering no human interface to address genuine concerns, which has made it impossible to resolve this issue.
I respectfully request immediate intervention to resolve my case. Your assistance in addressing this matter will be greatly appreciated.
