Complaint regarding a driver’s behaviour

Language:

Good afternoon team,
I had a wonderful trip with my family which was arranged by Manish, one of your colleagues(Booking ref: NL2102374477832). The trip was to Manali and Shimla area for a 6 day trip. At the start Manish was helpful, but towards the end he wasn’t much of a help. I had contacted Manish to raise this incident (which is mentioned below) but he wasn’t helpful, so I raised it with Monica (MMT representative).
So, the issue happened on 23/05/2024. Our driver was Taranjeet Singh, who was a nice chap at the beginning. He picked us up from Delhi and we headed to Manali for a 6 day trip. In the beginning he was ok. He showed us around. But towards the end he showed his avariciousness. We went to Koksar. He stopped near a shop (Shop No:123), and it seemed like he knew the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper showed the package for the trip towards Koksar and the activities which cost me Rs 5000. I know that it was expensive. But I opted for my kid to have fun. The shopkeeper arranged a driver as well. Then the shopkeeper and the driver had a chat and the driver said he will take us up to KOKSAR. He took us up, at that moment he did not mention anything about money. But the day after (24/05/24), he was asking for money for which he had taken us up to the Koksar hill. He himself said he shouldn’t have done it as it is against Make My Trip policy, he does that often so he can get extra money. First, I said no, then he kept insisting for money. It is a new place for us and I don’t know what this driver will do. He knew loads of drivers, as he was always on the phone with other drivers, giving them instructions. On 24/05/24, morning when we were checking out from the hotel he said he wanted that money to be transferred to his bank account and he sent his bank account details through Whatsapp (Screenshot attached). At that moment I refused to give money to him, but then he forced  me to pay. I gave him Rs 1000 via Paytm, but then he said he wants more money, at that time I said I won’t let him have anymore. I told him, if you would have told me that you will charge me for that trip I wouldn’t have gone up to Koksar. Then, he was on the phone to his friends and was saying that he didn’t get the money. I was slightly scared, I know I could inform the police if anything needed/happened.About this incident, I have raised it to Manish and Monica who were MMT colleagues.
I know that I have reported this earlier, so you could take necessary action against him and protect your other esteemed customers from having this bad experience. I didn’t know that someone could be that covetous. I am not sure whether he still works with MMT. He was saying that he will be getting another job in 108 as a driver. I feel so sorry for the patients who travel with him. Drivers like him shouldn’t be working with your esteemed company as these people will result in your goodwill being hindered.
I hope that you will take necessary action against him.
