Urgent Issue with Kia Seltos (MH43BU1935) Post-Service Bhavna Kia Navi Mumbai

I am writing to share my recent, highly disappointing experience with my Kia Seltos (registration number MH43BU1935) at Bhavna Kia. I purchased my vehicle in February 2020 and extended the warranty to ensure peace of mind. Until now, I had been a satisfied customer, diligently completing all my services at Bhavna Kia. However, my recent service on May 25, 2024, has left me extremely dissatisfied.

After a routine paid service, my car was kept overnight for software updates to address voice command issues and other mandatory updates for the 40,000 km service. I was informed that these updates would take 2-3 hours, so I had to collect the car the following day.

Despite noticing subpar cleaning, my main concern was the car’s music system and display screen. Post-service, the system started disconnecting intermittently, requiring frequent restarts. Two days later, the screen began going blank during drives, and on May 29th, it went completely blank and became unusable.

I reported this issue to my service advisor, Taufique, who suggested a system reset by inserting a pin into a hole next to the screen. I followed these instructions and even provided videos demonstrating the problem. Due to work commitments and extreme heat, I couldn’t visit the service center on June 1st or 2nd. On June 4th, I contacted Taufique again and visited the service center.

After inspection, I met with Mr. Vinod Pande, the service manager. He initially claimed my UVO services were not renewed, which was incorrect. Ms. Shilpa later confirmed my renewal, proving my point. Mr. Pande then claimed the issue wasn’t covered under the extended warranty and quoted a repair cost of ₹78,000.

I firmly believe this malfunction resulted from the recent service and software updates. The voice command issue was identified by your technician, not by me, and the subsequent updates have caused the current problem. This experience has severely impacted my trust in Kia and Bhavna Kia.

I urge Kia to address this issue promptly and provide a resolution under the extended warranty. This entire ordeal has been highly frustrating and unacceptable for a loyal customer.
