Hi,
I purchased my 2023 Toyota Camry and paid in full back in March 2024. I have had nothing but problems when dealing with the service department at Toyota Folsom, CA. My sunroof exploded while I was driving, and glass went everywhere. I took it to Toyota and they tried to insinuate that it was my fault even though I did nothing to cause that. They prompted me to have my insurance pay for the damage, which I did. They had my car for more than 45 days and continued to give it back to me unfinished. After the 45th day, they provided me the car and I thought they fixed the damage. However, I noticed that there was a weird sound coming from the sunroof as I was driving. I took it back and the technician stated that there may have been some glass that was not fully cleared out before they replaced the sunroof. Now they are telling me I need to go through my insurance again. I feel this is not right or appropriate as the issue was due to their inability to fix the sunroof correctly and did a poor job. This needs to be corrected and should be done at the expense of Toyota Folsom and not my insurance. I will be contacting a lawyer if this is not resolved in house.
