Very Very unhappy customer, received no help from MGL

I am writing to express my frustration and seek immediate assistance regarding the unreasonable gas bills I have been receiving. Despite numerous visits to the Mahanagar office and submitting handwritten complaints, there has been no resolution or support from your team. Instead, I have received threatening letters about disconnecting my gas line if I don’t make the payments. This situation has become a source of immense stress and mental anguish for my middle-class family.

Recently, I received a gas bill for ₹13, 076, which is exorbitant for residential usage. It is clear that such a high amount is not feasible for a 1BHK apartment occupied by two adults and a child. Our home remains unoccupied during the day due to our work and school commitments, making such a high bill even more inconceivable.

To provide context:

February Incident: I received a bill of around ₹8, 000, which I paid in March after visiting the BKC office to complain. I was forced to pay to avoid disconnection, despite the bill being unreasonable. I was informed that if there was an issue with the meter, the amount would be adjusted in future bills. Following your team’s inspection, my meter was found to be faulty and was replaced.
Current Issue: I have now received another bill of ₹13, 076, which is again clearly erroneous for our usage pattern.
I have contacted your customer care regarding this issue and have been advised to make the payment with the promise of future adjustments. As a tenant who will be moving out next year, this approach is not feasible. Continuous payments of such large amounts, which are clearly mistakes, are unfair and burdensome.

I request a thorough review of my account and billing history, especially considering my previous bills have never exceeded ₹500. I also request immediate rectification of this billing error and an assurance that such issues will not recur.

The continuous pressure and lack of support have left me with no clear direction on where to turn next. If someone could provide guidance on whom to approach for help, it would be highly appreciated.
