The Andhra Pradesh Police is the law enforcement agency of the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is headed by the Director General of Police, who is appointed by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh. The police force is responsible for maintaining law and order, ensuring internal security, and preventing crime, illegal activities, and other civil/criminal incidents. The AP Police is divided into various units, such as the Crime Investigation Department, Special Branch, Intelligence, and Traffic, including special units, such as Greyhounds, Octopus, Special Enforcement Bureau, etc.

- DGP Office: Headed by the Director General of Police (DGP). It is the headquarters of the Andhra Pradesh Police
- Region: Headed by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Two regions are Rayalseema and Andhra Region
- Range: Each headed by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG), divided into 5 ranges; Kurnool, Anantapuram, Guntur, Eluru, and Vizianagaram
- Districts: Ranges are divided into 16 police districts, headed by the Superintendent of Police (SP). Further, districts are divided into SDPO, Circles, and finally police stations.
- Commissionerate: Headed by the Commissioner of Police (CP), these cities are NTR and Visakhapatnam.
- GRP: Guntakal and Vijayawada.

Grievance Redressal
The grievance redressal mechanism of AP Police is divided into 4 levels. Initially, citizens can register an online police complaint, and report to local police stations, and other communication channels provided by the State Police.

Lodge a Police Complaint
According to the police complaint procedure, defined by the Andhra Pradesh Police, citizens can report civil/criminal crimes or incidents by filing an online complaint through the online petition portal (CCTNS – Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems), AP Police Seva app, or by visiting the nearest local police station.
