Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited was set up in April 1986 by the government of India to provide telecom services in India.

We will help you register complaints about landline, broadband, FTTH, or mobile services if you’re a customer in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, or other service areas.

How to register an MTNL complaint? Call the toll-free number specific to your service and city (mentioned below) or email the concerned circle detailing the issue.

Common Service Issues:

  • Landline: Dead phone, faulty instrument, connection problems (interrupted, noisy, weak), billing issues, etc.
  • Broadband: Password/login problems, slow speeds, website access issues, faulty equipment (CPE, adapter), billing disputes, etc.
  • FTTH: Login/reset issues, VoIP problems (no incoming/outgoing calls), weak wifi signal, slow/no internet, router malfunctions, etc.
  • General: Broken wires (delayed repairs), unprofessional staff behaviour, delays in service provisioning (new connections), billing/payment/refund problems, and other service-related concerns.

If the initial complaint isn’t resolved satisfactorily, you can approach Appellate Authorities or Public Grievance Officers (Tier 2).

Still, facing issues? As a final step, if you’re unhappy with the Tier 2 resolution, you can file a complaint with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

How to File a Complaint to Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL)?

MTNL (Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited) has an integrated grievance redressal system to resolve complaints about landlines, broadband, FTTH, mobile, and other miscellaneous issues.

You can call the toll-free customer care number (helpline) or can send an e-mail to concerned departments of your district Appellate Authorities.

There’s no fee to register a complaint with MTNL, and their aim is to resolve most issues instantly (24/7) or within 7 days.

The issue will be resolved within the given time limit for the specific services as per the quality benchmark defined in the TRAI regulation, 2012.

The Public Grievance Appellate Authority of MTNL

As per the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Regulation and Guidelines, MTNL has appointed the officers as the Public Grievance Appellate Authority who resolved the complaint that has yet to be redressed by the tier 1 departments. The escalated complaints will be resolved within 3 months.

Complaint about Dead & surrender Telephone connection

Dear Sirs, Our Phone No: 022-234***** is dead since 2022 . After leaaring from Mandvi telephone exchange connection can be not re-established we surrender Telphone in Jan 2024. [ Mtnl connection from 1954] Since getting Bills for Broad Band service. Will you please resolve, waive raised bills & help us in getting back our deposit for surrending instrument & connection. Awaiting your line in reply. Regards. Janak mehta
