BookMyShow has over 30 million users and allows them to book tickets for movies, events, plays, concerts, and sports matches.

How to File a Complaint of BookMyShow?
According to the customer service policy defined by the BookMyShow, the resolution mechanism is divided into 4 levels. Initially, you can complain to the customer support team. If not resolved, escalate the matter to the next authority.

- Level 4: Lodge the grievance to the Nodal Officer, BookMyShow. (in 1 day)
Please note: If your complaints are not resolved to your satisfaction by BookMyShow, you have the option to file a consumer complaint with the National Consumer Helpline, under the Department of Consumer Affairs (MoCA), or approach the Consumer Commission (Forum) to seek compensation.

At this stage, you have the option to resolve your concerns by contacting BookMyShow’s customer service team. Call the customer care (toll-free number) or send an email to report your complaints.
Additionally, for a faster resolution, you can file your complaint online through chat or an online form. When registering your concerns, provide essential details such as:

- Specify the nature of the complaint,

Level 2: Head of Customer Service
If your submitted complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction within 3 days by Customer Service Executives within 3 days at level 1 then you should escalate the open case to Head of Customer Service (CS) of the BookMyShow.

Level 3: Grievance Officer, BookMyShow
As per the E-Commerce Rules 2020, Bigtree Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. has appointed a Grievance Officer for BookMyShow. If your previously lodged complaint at level 2 is not resolved within 2 days then you may escalate the disputed matter to the Grievance Officer.
Required details in your written grievance letter or email:
- Reference/ticket number of the previous complaint
- Booking ID
- Reason for dissatisfaction and expected relief
- Description of the disputed matter with supporting documents

Level 4: Nodal Officer, BookMyShow
According to the IT (Information Technology) Act 2000. if you are not satisfied with the Grievance Officer of BookMyShow or the matter is not resolved within a given period (2 days), escalate the grievance to the appointed Nodal Officer.

If you are dissatisfied with the final response of BookMyShow, then file an informal consumer complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) for arbitration. Additionally, you may choose internal arbitration with Bigtree Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. to resolve the dispute internally.
Alternatively, you have the option to file a formal complaint against BookMyShow or its theatre partners with the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) – Consumer Court/Forum to demand compensation for the loss.
