Polycab India Limited, established as ‘Polycab Wires Private Limited’ in 1996, has grown to become a leading brand in the electrical industry. Known for manufacturing and selling wires, cables, and fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG) like electric fans, LED lighting, and switchgear, Polycab has a strong presence across India with a reputation for quality and innovation.

However, sometimes customers have to face several issues with Polycab products and services, including:

Notice - Be alert! Don't share the financial or banking details and don't share OTP to customer care executive. Protect yourself from Frauds and Scams. Report to Cyber Crime Bureau or Call 1930 as soon as possible to protect your earnings and others.
  • Product Quality: Concerns about the durability, defects, and performance of Polycab products.

For the redressal of these problems, Polycab has a structured process for customers that customers can use to lodge complaints or escalate unresolved cases to higher officials.

Level 1: File a Complaint to Customer Care, Polycab

As per the customer service policy of Polycab, you can complain through the toll-free customer care number, email, WhatsApp, or file an online complaint by submitting a web form. Additionally, you may use social channels to raise your concerns (for the attention of serious problems).

You can use these communication methods for filing a complaint with customer service representatives:

For issues related to Distributor/ Dealership, email to info@polycab.com. For an export enquiry, send an email to exports@polycab.com.

In your complaint, must provide product details, order ID, invoice (for warranty products), and supporting documents or evidence, specifically for defective products.

Level 2: Grievance Redressal Officer, Polycab

If the issue remains unresolved even after submitting your complaints at level 1, you can escalate the complaint to the Grievance Redressal Officer. With a written complaint letter, including reference/ticket ID of previous complaints and reason for dissatisfaction, send the grievance to GRO by these communication methods:

For further escalation, you can write to the higher authorities within Polycab, although specific contacts are not publicly listed.

Still, not resolved? You may appeal before the consumer commission or appellate authorities for the violation of consumer rights by Polycab.

Level 3: Consumer Protection Authority

In cases where internal resolutions are not satisfactory, you can approach external regulatory bodies such as the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) for complaints valued more than two crores or for appellate and revisional jurisdiction from the orders of State Commissions or the District forum.

You can also file an informal consumer complaint against Polycab to the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) of the Department of Consumer Affairs.

For matters concerning compliance with regulations concerning electrical devices and related products, including safety, electromagnetic interference, and technical standards, file a complaint with the Ministry of Power or the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) through CPGRAMS PG Portal.

If all the internal and external methods of communications and arbitration is failed then you can take legal action against the company by approaching the respective civil court.

On 29 March 2024, I purchased total of 3 Nos. of BLDC fans, 2nos-1200MM & 1 No. 600MM. From the installation date, all the family members faced the problem for all 3 fans operating from the supplied remote control. Which are required to press more than 2-3 times. Accordingly, complaints were given and for the first instance one technician visited and said all are working satisfactorily. Again we faced the same problem, so again complaint registered and second technician visited and informed the parts above the fan is required to replace, for the same three different complaints to be registered. Next day he came with only 3Nos. of 1200MM parts same were replaced for even 600MM fan. We observed for 2-3 days, but the complaints remained as it is. Then I contacted Customer Care regarding the complaint and requested for the In-charge from the company in our area. With the request I obtained the name & number, Mr. Deepak who resides in Ambernath. After contacting him, he assured me that an expert will be sent. Whereas he visited our home after 4 days without giving any reason for the delay. Sorry to say that the service offered and follow-up is “VERY POOR”. Subsequently, till date, the problems remained as it is. Even I kept follow-up email with all the details. You are requested to look into the matter and highly oblige to resolve our complaint, please. I thank you.
