BigBasket is available in over 30 cities. In these cities, customers can order online with same-day delivery, subscribe to premium services, and use wallet, digital payment, and cash on delivery as the mode of payment.

How to File a Complaint to BigBasket?

According to the BigBasket customer service policy, the complaint resolution mechanism is divided into 2 levels. If your submitted complaint is unresolved at level 1, escalate it to the next level.

Grievance Redressal:

Registration Fee No Charges (0)
Resolution Period Up to 30 days (It may vary, please read the customer service policy of BB)
Return/Refund Period Within 48 hours (perishable goods)
Within 7 days (other goods)

  • Level 2: Grievance Officer, BigBasket

Please note: If you are not satisfied with the final resolution of BigBasket, then you can lodge a consumer complaint to the National Consumer Helpline (NACH) and Consumer Commission (NCDRC).

Alternatively, customers may start an arbitration with the company to resolve the dispute internally by using the Alternative Dispute Resolution(ADR) mechanism.

Procedure

Steps to lodge your grocery complaint online to BigBasket:

  • Step 1: Visit the link above
  • Step 2: Fill out the service request form with Email, Subject, and Message with BB order ID
  • Step 3: Submit your complaint and note down the reference number (may receive an email) to track your status and for future usage.

Level 2: Grievance Officer, BigBasket

As per the customer service policy, if your lodged complaint to BigBasket Customer Service at level 1 is not resolved to your satisfaction within the given resolution period, then you can escalate the complaint to the appointed Grievance Officer, Big Basket.

You can write a simple grievance letter or email your case to the officer with the following required information:

If your submitted complaints to BigBasket are not resolved to your satisfaction, you can approach the National Consumer Helpline for arbitration or file a formal complaint to the Consumer Commission (NCDRC).

Lodge a consumer complaint to:

  • National Consumer Helpline (NACH): You can lodge an informal consumer complaint against BigBasket by contacting the National Consumer Helpline (NACH), Ministry of Consumer Affairs through their toll-free helpline number or by using their online grievance form. You may also start an arbitration using the NACH as a third-party arbitrator for Alternative Dispute Resolution.
  • Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, NCDRC (E-DAAKHIL): Not satisfied with NACH resolution? You can file a formal complaint online with the National/State/District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) through the online platform known as E-DAAKHIL. By doing this, you can resolve your monetary disputes with BigBasket at the consumer court.

Alternatively, you can choose to engage in an internal dispute resolution process (if available) with BigBasket. This involves working directly with the company to reach a resolution.

Note: Finally, if you are not satisfied with the final resolution of the Consumer Commission, then you should consult with a legal expert to know the available legal remedies to resolve the case. After this, you may take legal action against BigBasket.

Complaint about late and very late deliveries of ordered items

Recently - on three occasions - your delivery guy came much much later than scheduled time Yesterday 06/09/2024 scheduled dely. Time was 4.30 pm - 5.30 pm He came at society gate at 9.45 am and gave a call !!! We were not at home and asked him to go back Very poor deterioration in service at Pune

Inefficient Billing/ Delivery

I am writing this mail to bring out to you about the inefficient service of your staff at various levels.On 15 Aug 24, around 12 noon,I ordered 7 items of grocery and vegetables etc vide your mail bill NumberEXN-1523149451-20240815 and paid an amount of Rs 536.16 through my credit card.After some time, I wanted to add one more item ( Sugar 2 Kg) in the same bill and proceeded as per your website.However, the bill showed an amount of Rs 614, instead of the extra amount of Rs 96 for the extra item since I alreadyhad paid for the other items. I contacted the Customer Care staff and at first, the lady who responded  said that she would verify and let me know. However,the call was disconnected.I again contacted Customer Care and this time another lady spoke to me  and assured me that she would check up and confirm the status to me. After some time she informed me that the first payment was not received by BB and hence billed again. She said that I may pay in cash at the time of delivery. Around 3 pm, the delivery man came and put up items from two bills, one with 7 seven items, PAID, and the other with same items plus one extra item ( total 8item) and NOT PAID ( bill No EXA-1523158767-20240815)and demanded cash for full bil!! I returned items from the second bill.Apparently, your staff messed up and produced two bills one with 7 and other same 7+1 items. The Customer staff was even more inefficient and declared that my earlier payment was not received!!I request you investigate into the confusion your staff has created and spoiled the beautiful Independence Day mood of the customerI hope you will ensure that mess up does not happen in future with customers and your staff does not mislead customers.Please confirm action.Best Wishes Smt  Saroja Kosigi

Bigbasket Order delivery boy related un professional Fellow

Dear Sir, Today, I placed an order with Bigbasket, Order No: BNN-1497875401-202440709. The order was delivered by an individual who spoke rudely to my owners. Is this the standard behavior expected from your delivery personnel? I demand an explanation and expect him to apologize to my owners for his unacceptable conduct. Such behavior is not appropriate, and he should at least have the basic ethics and common sense when delivering orders. I am a regular customer of Bigbasket and place orders frequently using the following numbers: among others. Until now, I have never encountered such disrespectful behavior from any of your staff. However, today's experience with this delivery person was highly unpleasant. I require a proper explanation from him, and he should personally come and apologize to my owner. Otherwise, I will consider taking further action. Please take this matter seriously.
