Lucknow Municipal Corporation (लखनऊ नगर निगम) is an urban local government body, governed by the Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1959 and works under the 74th Constitutional Amendment Act of 1992. LMC is a governing body of Lucknow City, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
The administration of the municipal corporation is divided into 10 zones and 110 Wards. The total area of Lucknow city is about 631 sq. km. with a population of more than 3 million. Each zone is further divided into Wards. The members of the municipal council are elected from these Wards. Citizens may register complaints to LMC for any issue pertaining to their wards/zones.
