Register an Online Electricity Complaint to MSEDCL

Customers can register an online complaint about the issues with the electricity services of MSEDCL. You can follow the instructions and procedures that are provided below.

Procedure:

  • Visit: Register online complaint to MSEDCL
  • Enter Consumer Number – Account details will be available
  • Enter the Landmark and city/village address
  • Select service request major type – Select the category of the issue
  • Select the service request type (Optional)
  • Now, select the service request sub-type
  • Now, enter the request details – describe the issues of the electricity services with facts.

Lodge Grievance to Electricity Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF), MSEDCL

Electricity Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum takes the cases that were not resolved by the MSEDCL. It redresses the grievances under the Electricity (regulation) Act, 2003 and customers of MSEDCL can lodge grievances with the concerned office of the CGRF.

You will have to follow the 3 tiers to lodge grievances and can get the redressal of the electricity issues.

  1. Integrated Grievance Redressal Cell (IGRC)
  2. Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF)
  3. Electricity Ombudsman, Maharashtra

Instructions:

  • The complaint must be filed within 2 years of the cause of action or issue

  • Write an application on an A4-size white sheet.

Electricity Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, MSEDCL

Electricity Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum takes the cases under the Electricity (regulation) Act, 2003 and the Electricity Consumer Act, 2004. Every customer of MSEDCL can lodge a grievance if their complaints are not resolved by the MSEDCL officials in the given time.

Follow the instructions, procedure and steps to resolve your complaint successfully without any concerns.

Instructions:

  • The application must be written in the given format of CGRF (From below, Download – Schedule A Form)
  • Must attach the prescribed documents and proof of the complaint
  • The grievance must be lodged within 60 days after the expiry of IGRC redressal time or getting the final decision of IGRC.
  • The case will not be accepted if the same case is pending in any court or tribunal or an order has already been passed.
  • Please provide genuine and valid proof to get faster redressal of your complaint

  2. Take the printout of the application form
  3. Carefully fill out the following information:
    1. Name of the Consumer
    2. Address of the Consumer – Write address, e-mail, and mobile number
    3. Particulars of Connection and Consumer Number – Write the type of connection and consumer number from your bill
    4. Name of the Distribution Licensee – MSEDCL
    5. Details of the grievance, facts that support the grievance – Write down the issue and complaint details that you face and not resolved by the concerned departments (Mention facts and proof)
    6. Nature of relief – Write down the type of relief that you expect from the CGRF form and also mention if you have any monetary loss.
    7. List of the enclosed documents – Mention all the listed documents with the page number
    8. Sign the declaration form and write the name in block letters
    9. Nomination – Mention the nominee if you want to represent a person on behalf of you other than an advocate. Provide your details and the representee’s details and sign the nominee form.
  4. Attach all the supportive documents with the application form of CGRF.

  5. Submit the application form and documents to the concerned zonal office of CGRF of MSEDCL in Maharashtra or send it by post to the concerned office of your zone.

The Electricity Ombudsman works according to the Electricity (regulation) Act, 2003, and is regulated by the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum and Electricity Ombudsman), Regulation 2006.

If your grievance is not resolved within 60 days or as specified by the concerned CGRF office or unsatisfied with the final decision of the CGRF. You can file a petition to the Electricity Ombudsman of MERC (Maharashtra).

Instructions:

  • The petition must be filed within 60 days after the final decision of the CGRF or the grievance is not resolved within the given time.
  • The case should not be pending in any court
  • The petition will not be accepted if the order has already passed

    3. Full address, pin code, mobile number, and e-mail
    4. Provide the name and address of the Distribution licensee
    5. Write the name and address of the CGRF forum for the final decision
    6. Provide particulars of connection and consumer No (Specify the nature of the connection)
    7. Date of the submission of the grievances to the CGRF form
    8. Enclose a copy of the grievance form that was submitted
    9. Provide the subject matter of the representation
    10. Provide the details of the representation and facts that support the complaint
    11. If the final decision of the CGRF is received, enclose it with the reason for the unsatisfaction
    12. Nature of relief – Write the type of relief that you expect from the Electricity Ombudsman
    13. Mention if you have any monetary loss and demand compensation
    14. Mention the list of the enclosed documents
    15. Provide the signature of the declaration form and write the name in capital letter
  3. Make 3 copies of all the documents and application form
