How to file a complaint to Ola Cabs?

Ola Cab has its own grievance redressal policy to resolve disputes and complaints of customers. The resolution process includes 3 levels. If the issues related to cabs, taxis, payments, rental cars, Ola Money (Prepaid/Postpaid), and other Ola driver or corporate services, are not resolved at the initial level, escalate it to the next authorized officer.

Levels of Complaint Resolution Process:

  • Level 1: Submit a Complaint to Ola customer support
  • Level 2: Grievance Officer, Ola Cabs
  • Level 3: Nodal Officer, Ola

Redressal Process:

In level 1, report the problems, disputes, or concerns related to Ola Cab with the respective customer support through the Ola app (live chat support), customer care number, or Email.

Not resolved or dissatisfied with redressal? Escalate the disputed case with ticket number to Grievance Officer, Ola Cab in level 2. Yet not resolved? In level 3, you may complain to the appointed Nodal Officer of Ola with the reference/acknowledgement number of the previous case

Still not resolved or dissatisfied with the final resolution of Ola? Start an arbitration with Ola or file a consumer complaint against Ola with the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC). After successful submission, you may expect the acknowledgement receipt within 3 to 7 working days on your submitted Email or phone number. If not received, Email the concerned officer to ask for the receipt as proof of submission.

If your lodged grievance is not resolved as per your expectations or is still not resolved by Grievance Officer within the resolution period, you can escalate the submitted complaint to Nodal Officer, Ola with acknowledgement receipt and some required details of the disputed matter.

To raise your concern with Nodal Officer, must provide the following information:

  • The acknowledgement receipt (reference/ticket number)
  • Summary of unresolved complaint or reason for dissatisfaction with final resolution from Grievance Officer
  • Supporting documents, evidence, or facts (if needed)

Consumer Commission

The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) is the appellate consumer authority where you can complain against Olacabs for the resolution of consumer disputes. Provide copies of the submitted complaint and other information related to the disputed case.

The information may include:

  • Copy of final response from Nodal Officer, Olacabs
  • Details of acknowledgement receipt of submitted complaints
  • Other relevant documents, facts, and supporting evidence

Before this, as an alternative, you may start arbitration with Olacabs by sending a legal notice for dispute resolution within the applicable law (Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996). This negotiation may take at least 30 days from the initiation of arbitration.

Are you not satisfied with the final order from Consumer Commission? You may challenge this order in the High Court of the State or Supreme Court. For more information, must take the help of a legal expert and also ask for the available alternative ways to resolve disputes related to Olacabs.

For disputes with Ola Money, you may lodge a complaint to the Banking Ombudsman, RBI (Reserve Bank of India) with some required information related to the financial case.

While booking the trip from electronic City phase I Bangalore to Bangalore airport, amount of Rs 1392 was showing. However, after completing the ride amount was 2080 and I paid the same. When I connected with Ola grievance team and with chairman Mr. Bhavish for understanding why there is so much difference in fare before booking and post completing the rides. Even after multiple follow up over e-mail, i didn't receive any response from Ola grievance team and Mr. Bhavish. This is not the first time, previously also I faced the same issue.

Ola ditched me for a round trip from Bareilly to Almora and back to Bareily.

Ola! Outstation trip,think twice before booking. Ola is a bunch of robots with no human values. They can only book a trip, can not ensure the journey forget about safe journey. They ditched me on a four day round trip booking from Bareilly to Almora and back to Bareily. Inspired of confirmed booking and providing driver and vehicle details, no one turned up. Numerous attempts to contact them failed. Me a 74 yr lady suffered mental torture and could arrange another vehicle at more than double the cost of Ola booking and loosing half a day. Tried to contact them but of no use. They say it is driver fault and has nothing to with them . Such unhuman childish response. So, be careful with OLA.

This is to bring to the notice of ola ...I'm a regular passenger off late the rates are very high and on the other hand there's no services applicable to my place for booking olas from horamavu Agara

Non sense service fares are hiked but drivers dnt book our rides ...they ask the location and cancell today morning neither the auto or cab services booked my rides more than number of times i had tried...either fix the issues or close ur services ...people rely on such services but the app and driver seems to be useless.

Bad experience with Ola Auto Driver - Bangalore

Today i had booked an Ola auto from Frank public school to SRS travels Anandrao circle. The driver initially told me that since he was new and hardly completed 4 months as a Driver in Ola(probably), he is not familiar with the short cuts and is comfortable driving on main roads. He stopped his auto beyond my destination ad was arguing with me that my destination is reached and when I checked in his map, the destination was still showing 3 mins, when I asked him for explanation, he started yelling at me. So, I got down the auto and told him, I will put a complain and won't pay him. He told me, I know how to take money from u and he didn't end the trip. I had to cancel it from my end. After around 20 mins, I called him to tell i will transfer him the money (since Its his hard-earned money and I won't become rich by taking his rs170), for my surprise, he started recording my voice . I dint bother and he didnt wanted to take the money challenging me how he can take money from me and he disconnected the call. Kindly, let me know how I can attach the screenshot of the destination and the amount it was displyaing in the app(since I dont want to get a shock later on)

Abusive driver

My husband booked a cab , I was with two small kids ,the driver told me to cancel with ola and asked me to pay cash ,when I refused he didn't put on the AC and in this heat of 45 degree when I objected him that he can't do this he said if you want AC then give extra 100 rs , he blackmailed me and dropped me back frm the place he took me This is seriously not happning with such people how can anyone travel safe with kids ?

I booked a taxi from Jaipur on 27 April at 10:27 am for marudhar hospital. My driver are tell me for online payment or i did it but during journey payment is deducted from my Amazon account but not received by driver so hi said me for upi payment now i did UPI payment on there provided qr code. After dropping i get in hospital and i see in hospital my both payment are completed , after it i call the driver for confirming it and he said i checked my account or inform back but he not confirmed it till 2 hours after all i again call the driver and said all which happened he blocked my number or not contact still now. I have both transaction details in my account history of Amazon pay and Airtel bank UPI. on 22-04-24 hired ur Ola CRN 8253956680 dated 22-04-24 Driver Virender Kumar Yadav Desire white hired for Rs 290. at 6-49p.m. to Raddison hotel Mahipal pur.Taken cash and by Phone pay. When the trip was completed Driver told me to pay by Phonepe app instead of cash. I paid by App. As the payment was not completed for 2 minutes driver started misbehaving with me and told me to pay cash as payment on Phonepe was not completed. So I paid him cash. He left after taking the money. Immediately after that I checked and found that the payment was done successfully by App to Driver Virender Kumar Yadav.
