
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has taken the initiative of, the Banking Ombudsman to redress the complaints related to banking services. Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2021 takes cases of the banking and services regulated under the Reserve Bank of India act, 1934, Banking Regulation act, 1949, and Payments and Settlement Systems Act, 2007.

What is the Banking Ombudsman of RBI?
Integrated Banking Ombudsman was started under the scheme of integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2022 by RBI. RBI has established the Office of Ombudsman to take complaints about the banking services, NBFC, and payment transactions & financial services.
The banking Ombudsman of RBI has two officials that take the cases, hear and order the final decision against the complaint. The Ombudsman and Deputy Ombudsman are the higher official members of the office.

Integrated Banking Ombudsman, RBI has provided a CMS portal to register complaints about the issues of banking and financial services. Follow the below steps and procedure to get faster redressal of your grievance.

Step 2: Click ‘File a Complaint’ and enter the captcha then click on the next button.
Step 3: Enter the name of the complainant, and mobile number then validate OTP.
Step 4: Fill out the required pieces of information.
