How to file a complaint to Municipal Corporation, Nagar Palika, or Nagar Parishad in Madhya Pradesh?

According to the citizen charter issued by the Urban Development and Housing Department, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, the grievance redressal mechanism is divided into 3 levels. If your complaints related to civic body services are not resolved or dissatisfied with the response of initial levels, escalate it to the next level with reference.

3 stages of complaints resolution:

  • Level 1: Lodge complaint to Incharge/Prescribed Officer of Municipal Corporation or Nagar Palika/Parishad

Public Grievance Cell

If your complaints submitted to the Incharge/Prescribed Officer are not resolved within the given resolution period (in citizen charter) or have any dissatisfaction with the final response, escalate the disputed grievance to the designated Officer of Public Grievance (PG) Cell of your Urban Local Body.

In the PG Cell, within Nagar Nigam (Municipal Corporation) the authorized officer is the Municipal/Deputy Municipal Commissioner or Mayor/Deputy Mayor. If you belong to Nagar Palika or Nagar Parishad/Panchayat then escalate the complaint to the Chairman/President of your Nagar Palika/Parishad (Panchayat).
