ShopClues is an Indian e-commerce platform, owned by Clues Network Private Limited. Founded in 2011, it is headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana. Its e-commerce services are available in tier-II and tier-III cities along with tier-1 Megacities. The company also has India’s online market for merchants, called ShopClues Bazaar.

The major products and services of Shopclues are fashion, home and kitchen appliances, sports and health products, and merchant bazaars. The special feature is NRH (National Regional Heritage) for regional Indian shopping.

How to File a Complaint to ShopClues?

As per the defined customer service policy of ShopClues, the complaint resolution mechanism is divided into 2 levels. If not resolved at the initial level, then escalate the disputed matter to the next designated authority within ShopClues.

You can also ask the customer support team to escalate any unresolved complaints at the first level to the Head of ShopClues Customer/Merchant Support for internal resolution.

Please note: If your complaint lodged with ShopClues is not satisfactorily resolved within the stipulated resolution timeframe, you may proceed to register a consumer complaint with the National Consumer Helpline of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs (MoCA) for the violation of consumer rights.


Level 1: Customer Care, ShopClues

Initially, if you experience issues with ShopClues products and services related to online orders for items/products, merchant deals (for business), delivery delays, subscription plans, store services, or payment issues, register your complaint with the customer support team using the toll-free helpline number, email, or WhatsApp.

While lodging your complaint, provide the following information:

  1. Order ID
  2. Merchant details (for ShopClues Bazaar)
  3. Subject/Nature of Complaint
  4. Warranty Details (if applicable)
  5. Description of the issue, along with relevant documents such as images of the product/delivery box, bills, or receipts.

Upon filing a complaint with ShopClues, make sure to note down the assigned ticket number for your reference to know the status. If unresolved, consider escalating the matter to higher authorities.

Please note: For complaints related to the quality of the food/nutrition products, register a complaint to the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

Level 2: Grievance Officer, ShopClues

According to the IT Act 2000 and E-Commerce Rules 2020, Clues Network Private Ltd., the parent company of ShopClues, has designated a Nodal/Grievance Officer to address disputes related to its E-Commerce Platform. If your initial complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction at level 1, it is recommended to escalate the issue to the designated Nodal Officer at ShopClues.

When submitting your written grievance letter or email, please be sure to include the following details:

  1. Reference/Ticket number of the previous complaint
  2. Order ID
  3. Reason for dissatisfaction
  4. Expected resolution from ShopClues
  5. Description of the disputed matter with supporting documents such as screenshots, images of products, invoices, or any other relevant evidence.

2. Legal Action:

  • If you remain dissatisfied with ShopClues’ resolution even after initiating internal arbitration, seek advice from a legal expert to understand the available legal options.
  • Depending on your case, you may consider taking legal action against ShopClues in a tribunal, judicial court, or higher legal authorities.
